All OshKosh flooring is manufactured with a wear layer of select hardwoods. 
As was the case 100 years ago, no blemish, knot or defect is allowed in the finished product. Parquet is 5/16" thick with square cut (butt joint) edges. Medallions and borders can be supplied in any thickness specified. Borders, medallions and parquets are assembled at the factory ready for glue-down installation and finishing at the job-site.
